Pluto Chases

YouTube Video Link:

Here is an unconfirmed report of what happened thanks to Robert C.

The Pluto character was doing a friendly run around with the kid when the kid took off full tilt screaming and laughing faster than he should and not thinking the character chased behind him.

The kid supposedly called out for a family member but not in a scared way. A woman bystander stepped in and grabbed Pluto as the kid went off in another direction, and the mascot, not allowed to talk, shrugged it off and went back into character. The bystander then said something “bad” and pushed him to get him to stop and listen when the costume’s feet didn’t land straight and he lost his balance and fell over.

These mascots are often fired at the drop of a hat, so when the mascot walked away, he asked if the people across the street had seen it all and that he had done nothing to the woman.

I hope this unconfirmed report is true. I would hate for the person in the Pluto costume to lose their job because he/she was playing with the kid.

UTF Site Update: 09.02.07

It’s been a busy few months, hence the reason why posting here on Reverb and the message board has been scarce. Aside from work, I am working on other top priority projects that has taken up much of my free time. It’s been difficult trying to find the proper balance for managing all that’s going on, and I admittedly let the new version of UTF slip through the cracks. UTF version 5 is way overdue, and I know it. I finally carved in some time out of my busy schedule to put several hours of work into the site this week. I went back and did some more graphics work after rethinking some things, and I think I have the graphics side of UTF version 5 at least 99% complete. My plan is to have the site coded, finished, and online by the end of this year. That being said, the hard part is just about to start since I am coding the new version of UTF completely from scratch and am restructuring the site’s architecture. That means I won’t be using pre-existing code, since much of it is not as “clean” and manageable as it could be. In layman’s terms, recoding the site from scratch and making it cleaner will make updating the site much more easier for me. Cross your fingers that you will no longer be looking at this by the end of the year.

Classic Hair Bands: Extreme - More Than Words

Whenever I hear this song on the radio (which is most likely on Pandora these days), I can recall and sing every single lyric. “More Than Words” by Extreme is one of my favorite Power Ballads and has aged well.

In a day where too much music is made through synthesizers, it’s refreshing to hear some stripped down, raw music every once in a while…similar to what Timmy is doing these days.
