Tina Turner Returns: Grammy 2008 Performance
In case you missed the snooze fest (aka the 2008 Grammy Awards), Tina Turner performed shortened versions of “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Better Be Good to Me,” and my favorite tune, “Proud Mary” with Beyonce. Check out the video versions below.

Tina looks amazing! I was happy to see her pop up at the Grammy Awards, but…I must admit the performance was underwhelming. In my mind, I still see the Tina that killed the stage in 1996 during the Wildest Dreams Tour and previous performances, and I guess I have extremely high expectations. Tina is the Queen of Rock, after all. I’m not saying that this performance was bad. It just doesn’t live up to her past performances, and it’s been several years since I’ve seen her perform. Still, at 68 years old, Tina is still head and shoulders above many younger performers out there.
On a side note, the band is not the band without Timmy or Kenny Moore (RIP).
Update: I swapped the previous YouTube videos out with this version since the copyright holder struck again. Hopefully, this version will stick around for a little while.
