Reverb: The Official UTF Blog

About

I am the owner and creater of Ultimate Timmy Fanz (UTF) – the one and only Timmy Cappello fan site – and Reverb is the official UTF blog.

I am and have been a huge fan of Timmy Cappello since viewing Tina Turner’s 1985 Private Dancer Tour. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the show live but saw the performance on HBO. While I was a new fan of Tina, I couldn’t help but watch the dynamic musician rocking out on the keyboards, tearing it up on the tenor sax, and “feeling” the music in a way I’d never seen before. I hadn’t even hit my tween years at the time, but I instantly recognized a great performer in Timmy’s stage presence. He is a talented musician, singer, and entertainer. Anyone who’s been to a Tina show or seen Timmy in concerts and videos knows that he’s a fantastic showman. You can’t help but notice him when he’s performing, and UTF is a celebration of Timmy’s talent and career.

I have operated UTF since the year 2000, a clumsy Yahoo! Geocities web site at the time, and have seen its growth steadily rise over the past several years. The site started out as a small fan dedication after surfing the web with three pages. After searching and finding hardly anything concerning Timmy, I decided to make my own fan dedication. Surely a musician of his stature deserved nothing less. I started the movement, but Timmy’s involvement with UTF really made the site what it is today. And naturally, his fans followed, helping build up a loyal and wonderful community over at UTF.

I have been a blogger since August 2004, but I quit the blogosphere September 2006. I can’t say that I ran a hugely popular blog because I didn’t. I did have a small following of readers, which was fine with me; I never wanted to be famous. In any case, I’m back but on my own terms this time around and plan to keep things light here. Reverb is about sharing my points of view on various topics ranging from music, movies, world events or anything else on my mind.

When I’m not running UTF or writing here at Reverb, I’m working, reading, watching movies, or doing geeky things on the Internet. If you would like to contact me, please fill out the form on the contact page. Thanks for dropping by!
